Neurodivergent-affirming
You’ve Tried to Manage It. EMDR Helps You Finally Move On.
Trauma, anxiety, overwhelm—your brain is not broken. It’s doing its job. EMDR helps it stop sounding the alarm.

You’re smart. Self-aware. High-functioning(ish). But something’s not working.
You keep doing the work—coping, journaling, mindfulness apps—but the past won’t stay in the past, and your nervous system didn’t get the “calm down” memo.
I work with people who feel stuck, triggered, exhausted, and fed up with traditional therapy that circles the drain.
If you’re ready to stop managing symptoms and actually process the root of the problem, that’s where EMDR comes in.
What is EMDR? (and why it actually works)
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. But what it does is way more important.
It helps your brain file trauma in the “past” instead of leaving it in the middle of your day-to-day.
No endless retelling. No over-explaining. No crying about your inner child unless you really want to.
You just notice what your brain is holding onto—and I help you process it safely.

You’ve probably waited too long already. Let’s fix that!
About me:
Hi, I’m Linda Smith. I specialize in EMDR therapy for people who don’t want to be in therapy forever.
I work with trauma survivors, neurodivergent adults, burned-out parents, and overachievers who can’t turn their brains off.
I’m EMDRIA Certified, trained in every acronym imaginable, and deeply committed to making therapy feel less like emotional dental work.
If you’d like to know more about me, please feel free to check out the ‘about’ page.
Insurance and Payment:
I can bill most major insurance (Regence, Premera, United, Aetna, etc).
If you’re out-of-network, I use Thrizer to handle the paperwork and let you pay just your copay up front—no chasing down reimbursement checks.
Therapy Dog In Training
I have a dog, Oliver, that is in the office with me. He’s training to be a therapy dog. He already excels at napping, sniffing feet, and calming the energy in a room. If you prefer a dog-free space, I do have two colleagues and an intern that you might be able to work with OR we can work online —yes, EMDR works online! (You can see pics of him in the Instagram feed below)
For Therapists:

You’re not too broken. It’s not too late. EMDR can help.
If your nervous system is tired of keeping score, let’s help it put the clipboard down.

At this time I can accept:
Regence

I do not bill other insurances; however, you may have out-of-network benefits, which means that insurance will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. I have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, (for insurances other than Blue Cross/Blue Shield), you will only have to pay a copay for our sessions, instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursements.
If you have a Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan (other than Regence), you will have to pay my full fee and will receive a paper check reimbursement in a few weeks. You can check your out of network benefits with Thrizer by clicking here: Thrizer

I do both. However, at this time I only have opening for online sessions.
EMDR is able to be done online (and is sometimes better online!)

My evening spots are almost always full. I do work weekends and sometimes have openings on the weekend.
Important Notice About Documentation Requests
As part of my commitment to ethical and effective mental health care, I prioritize long-term therapeutic work that supports your mental health over time—not quick documentation for legal or employment claims.
If you're seeking support letters for medical leave, workplace accommodation, or legal matters, please note:
I do not complete such forms for new clients or those with limited session history.
A minimum of 30 sessions is required before I will consider providing documentation for paid leave, disability claims, or related purposes.
Requests for records preparation or formal letters are billed at a separate hourly rate due to the time, care, and scheduling adjustments required.
If you’re looking primarily for paperwork, you may wish to consider a provider who offers evaluations for those purposes specifically. I focus on therapy, not paperwork-based advocacy.
