Practice Update

Linda Smith Consulting is in the process of transitioning away from insurance-based care and will be moving to a cash-pay only model.

Beginning July 1, 2026, this practice will focus exclusively on Ketamine-Assisted EMDR therapy, offering a more flexible, intensive, and individualized approach to trauma treatment.

Ketamine-Assisted EMDR is not typically supported within insurance-based care, which is why this service is offered outside of insurance.

Using Insurance During This Transition

Linda Smith Consulting remains in-network during the transition period, and current clients may continue to use their insurance as appropriate.

If you are seeking ongoing insurance-based services, you can also be seen through our nonprofit group practice:

EMDR therapy for trauma, anxiety, and neurodivergent clients—offered online across Washington, Idaho, and Vermont.

Neurodivergent-affirming

You’ve Tried to Manage It. EMDR Helps You Finally Move On.

Trauma, anxiety, overwhelm—your brain is not broken. It’s doing its job. EMDR helps it stop sounding the alarm.

You’re smart. Self-aware. High-functioning(ish). But something’s not working.
You keep doing the work—coping, journaling, mindfulness apps—but the past won’t stay in the past, and your nervous system didn’t get the “calm down” memo.

I work with people who feel stuck, triggered, exhausted, and fed up with traditional therapy that circles the drain.

If you’re ready to stop managing symptoms and actually process the root of the problem, that’s where EMDR comes in.

What is EMDR? (and why it actually works)

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. But what it does is way more important.

It helps your brain file trauma in the “past” instead of leaving it in the middle of your day-to-day.
No endless retelling. No over-explaining. No crying about your inner child unless you really want to.

You just notice what your brain is holding onto—and I help you process it safely.

Fast facts:

  • Works for trauma, anxiety, burnout, triggers, grief, stress, and more

  • Doesn’t require you to relive everything in detail

  • Often shorter-term than traditional talk therapy

  • Neurodivergent-affirming & structured

What makes this different?

Therapy doesn’t have to feel like an emotional treadmill.

Here’s what it looks like to work with me:

✔ No waiting for months to get started
✔ Online scheduling, real-time availability
✔ EMDR for adults, teens, children, couples & neurodivergent brains
✔ Options for short-term, adjunctive, or intensive therapy
✔ Insurance options + out-of-network support that doesn’t suck

Your Options:

Just Need a Few Sessions?

Short-term EMDR (3–12 sessions) for PTSD, anxiety, or recovery from a specific event.

Already Have a Therapist?

Adjunctive EMDR to process trauma while staying with your current provider.

Ready to Go All In?

Intensive EMDR sessions for rapid progress. Full-day, multi-day, or couples retreats.

Also offering long-term EMDR for complex trauma.

  • Insurance information:

I am deactivating my contracts with insurance starting March 2026. I will be able to take insurances until July 1 2026.

  • Ketamine Assisted EMDR sessions 2-hour: $400.

Intensives: see the intensive pages for rates

  • I do both. However, at this time I only have opening for online sessions.

EMDR is able to be done online (and is sometimes better online!)

  • My evening spots are almost always full. I do work weekends and sometimes have openings on the weekend.

Important Notice About Documentation Requests

As part of my commitment to ethical and effective mental health care, I prioritize long-term therapeutic work that supports your mental health over time—not quick documentation for legal or employment claims.

If you're seeking support letters for medical leave, workplace accommodation, or legal matters, please note:

  • I do not complete such forms for new clients or those with limited session history.

  • A minimum of 30 sessions is required before I will consider providing documentation for paid leave, disability claims, or related purposes.

  • Requests for records preparation or formal letters are billed at a separate hourly rate due to the time, care, and scheduling adjustments required.

If you’re looking primarily for paperwork, you may wish to consider a provider who offers evaluations for those purposes specifically. I focus on therapy, not paperwork-based advocacy.
